I'm doing this cause its neat seeing different posts but I'm also like dam I realllyyy need to do this or you'll do it in 2-5 weeks. Instead I have been going online and just posting and commenting on shit. Example today I want to stream and draw, work out a schedule to work out etc. But the issue is I do the same thing where I can focus but not on the stuff I need too. As well as my anxiety isn't as bad on doing more adult stuff like talking with people. Its still the case still but like its not as bad anymore where its like once in a while.Įver since tho I have energy I'm not exhausted as I was before, I don't have munchies and I can focus so much better. If I needed something to get done I would need some type of sugar to get me going. Before I took vyvanse I would be tired almost everyday 24/7 unless I had like a soda or sugar in me (which had caused me to have sugar cravings). So some might see it as bad but I take my Vyvanse everyday almost unless I meet these criteriaġ) I woke up past a certain type (most of the time its 12:00Pm -12:30PM latest 1pm)Ģ) I have no responsibilities that need my attention that day (mainly on weekends)ģ) I'm about to run out and need to wait out until my next fill. Have a vision for how you want your future to be, drag that bucket list from Vision down through Goals through Plans through Actions - your Vision item list becomes an Action item list (this is a little thing I've been working on to help me think, Vision>Goals>Plans>Actions) The better you can imagine your desires in life in detail the more you can enforce how to move to that higher quality lifestyle in daily changes. Also, like someone said, making sure you lay out the things you WANT to be doing for when the shit hits so it is right at hand and ready to go. Have a specific work area with the things you need accessible, sort of like a command center or workshop and desk etc. I find that having your environment tidy and organized prevents you from having to do it in the middle of something and helps you think better. Definitely getting caught up on details is a danger. I learned how to accept that even if I'm not always in control of exactly what I end up doing I can at least make sure that I am doing something constructive or that I've been meaning to do. Just my observations, not a doctor or scientist.Įdit to add that I only stick to the no acid and no caffeine for an hour or two after my dose, I find once it has kicked in in full force it doesn’t matter really anymore. Acid reduces my response and caffeine increases. If I consume any acid (soda, fruit, etc) or caffeine it impacts my response. I don’t have any acid, I’m careful to stick with a bagel and cream cheese with water most of the time. If I take it on an empty stomach, I feel like I can run at full speed for most of the day, but I also usually can’t stomach the thought of eating anything.Īlso, even if I take it with food, I am careful what I eat when taking it. But if I need a lower impact to my day I take it with food, then it’s just there in the background, helps a bit with ADHD, but I still have a lot of symptoms and usually don’t work to my full potential. I take mine daily with very few breaks because without it I have almost withdrawal symptoms now and feel very fuzzy. I find that food impacts Vyvanse immensely. Later edit: Some people have a really bad time if they take breaks with their stimulant medication, so maybe talk to your doctor about this first. I hope this is helpful, I'm still getting used to exactly how Vyvanse helps me. you work that day, or you're umpiring a baseball game, or whatever, you take it in the morning and it will help you manage your ADHD symptoms all day. You can't take it 5 minutes before a big test and find your concentration is immediately improved (or maybe you can?), it's not instantaneous. So you can go off it at random, and take it any day you think you need it. Meanwhile there are numerous medications that if you're taking them at a therapeutic level and you stop cold turkey (because you ran out and couldn't get more, your doctor would never tell you to do this) you will have a Very Bad Time TM. Your one Vyvanse pill is metabolized within a day so if you decide to not take it on Friday or whatever, no worries. It metabolizes quickly so it doesn't take time to build up to theraputic levels (like a lot of anti depressants for example).
